Overview
Embark on an unforgettable journey as we explore Sydney’s breathtaking coastline, starting with one of the city’s most iconic walks: the Bondi to Bronte Coastal Path. After soaking in the stunning ocean views, we take a scenic drive to Manly, where we are introduced to the exquisite design of the Boathouse Group with a visit to their stunning Boathouse Café, beautifully nestled on Shelly Beach.
In the afternoon, we continue along the scenic coastal road to our charming accommodation at Barrenjoey House in Palm Beach, which will serve as our “home” for the next four nights. This picturesque location is framed by pristine waters and crowned by the historic Barrenjoey Lighthouse, perched at the northernmost point of the peninsula.
Our days here will include a visit to the breathtaking Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park, a place rich in natural beauty and Indigenous history, offering views over Broken Bay, the Hawkesbury River, and Pittwater. As Australia’s second-oldest national park, it features significant Aboriginal rock art and cultural sites. Nearby, Brisbane Water National Park also holds incredible rock engravings and paintings, offering further insight into the area’s ancient history. While there, we’ll enjoy a delightful lunch at the Boathouse Hotel Patonga, taking in the tranquil views across Broken Bay.
Our daily adventures will be made even more special by travelling aboard the historic timber ferries that glide gracefully across Pittwater, providing a relaxing start and finish to each day’s exploration.
For the final four nights of our journey, we’ll indulge in luxury at Bells at Killcare Boutique Hotel, Restaurant, and Spa. If you can tear yourself away from this serene oasis, we’ve planned a series of spectacular coastal walks through the adjoining Bouddi National Park, where the rugged coastline meets lush bushland.
On our final day, we’ll uncover some hidden treasures of Broken Bay with a visit to a local Akoya pearl farm. These sustainably grown pearls are renowned for their exceptional quality, considered among the finest in the world. In the afternoon, we’ll join Tim from Girri Girra for a guided exploration of local bush tucker and medicinal native plants, providing a fascinating insight into the ancient knowledge of Australia’s First Nations peoples, and a unique glimpse into the world’s oldest living culture.
